Winner shows a victory celebration with the winning trophy being held high. Fun design to celebrate winners and winning!

I am not given to bragging. All my life I have been taught, and learned, to keep my mouth shut when others are telling me how much they earn, how fast their car is, or how many push-ups they can do.

But that was before the internet.

On the internet, and by internet I mean social media, it seems the expected behaviour is to demonstrate how great you are. Fair enough. Let’s give it a go.

Yesterday I won an award for my writing. Yep. You read that right. Well done. You don’t get an award though, not like me.

I got an email, because you get an email for every single sodding thing that happens these days. It said blah something award. I didn’t really think much about it. After all, every day I win a lottery, find a rich uncle or learn that attractive ladies want to meet me.

This morning I noticed that one of my articles has a shiny trophy next to it. It’s not much of a trophy to be honest, an outline of one at best, but it’s still a trophy.

I showed it to Dave. He told me to get a life. Not everyone understand the significance of this momentous event.
