I got one more message from Cory before I left for the day.
“When I got my driver’s license, Fin took me to get a used car. We went to check out some listings in three different dealerships, and at every one of them, they thought he was my dad and I was just tagging along with him as he looked for a car for himself. He test drove the car himself first, while I sat in the passenger seat, and then, if he approved, he put me in the driver’s seat, and every time the car salesman flipped out. It was really funny. Wyatt and I took a road trip together the summer before my senior year in high school to visit colleges. We went around to a few schools upstate, in Massachusetts and Vermont. We took turns driving, and it was pretty awesome. We were on the road for like five days and stayed at economy hotels, and at every place, the desk clerks gave us really weird looks, really judgmental, obviously thinking that we were a couple. But they didn’t say anything. Except at one place where it was a middle aged lady who probably didn’t want anything sinister on her conscience, so she asked to see our IDs and when she looked at them side by side, with the same last name and the same address and the general resemblance, she smirked and said ‘brother and sister…
