Hi everyone! My name is Jessica, aka Yes-I-Can, and if you’ve stumbled upon this post, welcome to my little corner of the world — my cozy, sparkly little safe haven where I spill my heart, share my wildest musings, and embrace the messiness of life. If you’re here to find a little inspiration, a bit of humor, or just a glimpse into the crazy, beautiful journey of a newly thirty-year-old woman navigating life in a new country, you’re in the right place.

Today, I want to share something that’s deeply close to my heart — what it’s really like being the youngest Mexican sister. My friends and partners often tease me about my “little sister tendencies” — and honestly, they’re right. But what they call tendencies, I call a superpower.

As the youngest sister of three, being the “baby” of the family comes with its own delightful mix of joys, struggles, and quiet power moves. Growing up as the youngest in a Mexican family taught me how to navigate life with charm, resilience, and an unapologetic zest for standing out while staying deeply connected to my roots. It’s a delicate balance of rebellion and loyalty, of pushing boundaries and respecting traditions.
