I’m addicted to TikTok. It’s the perfect way to pass a bit of time, and after a couple of years on the app, my tailored feed has become a feel-good, wholesome corner of the internet to escape to.
In particular, the BookTok community — as TikTok’s book community has been named — is one that I want to stay in forever. The #BookTok tag currently has a whopping 52.9 billion views, with creators sharing book reviews, recommendations, and more. I even saw a video of a couple creating custom dust jackets for their books!
Sure, there are always negatives that come with social media platforms, but it’s hard to find anything but joy in the BookTok community.
