Bang, bang, bang.
“Open the door, Jenna, you owe me another fucking scene!” The asshole in the corridor fumed through the woodwork. “If you don’t come out in five minutes, you’re fired. Do you understand? That career you want so badly, flush it down the toilet for all I care.”
Two thin pages of high-quality paper lay crumpled on the dressing room table. Just one more notch on the glossy ladder to fame, but Jenna struggled to see an award-winning script. One name on the title page did stand out, Ronzo. He was why she agreed to the movie. Her agent had scored the leading role with this legendary director, a breakthrough, he’d called it. In a flash of excitement, she accepted thinking a collaboration would catapult her out of the grueling amateur roles she’s slogged through. A major studio deal was almost guaranteed for the ‘Starlet of the Year’ nominee Jenna Sterling. But then reality hit on day one of the shooting. Ronzo was a maniac. A rare kind of director whose surreal mix of idealism and perfectionism bordered on cruelty. Genius coursing through his veins but he demanded exhausting hours of humiliating positions and almost Olympian stamina. Her tired body moaned at her for rest.
