Monday: A single moment that changed everything.
Jattixl dialled in the codes on his 3D holo viewer and offered it to Igyaria.
She stood frowning into it for several seconds which was long enough for him to give into his fears that calling out his supervisor under urgency and having her travel such a long distance at considerable expense to the department might not have been wise.
‘What am I seeing here Jattixl?’ she asked.
‘Um…Monday’.
Igyaria’s yellow eyes pinned him as effectively as if she had nailed him to the wall behind him. Her transparent secondary eyelids flicked down once. ‘Explain’.
‘Monday is a day of the week…’
‘I am not a fool Jattixl. I understand very well that the people of this planet subscribe to a seven day week and each day is named for one of their ancient deities’.
