A Different Summer

Happy rambling

Each season has its positive side, but in general, I don’t like summer. The sun and heat make me sick, and I prefer the cold and rain. For me, summer is a wasted season in which I can’t leave the house and feel restricted.

But this year was different, not because I particularly intended it, but because things happened in a wonderful natural synchronicity.

I have been able to go out to enjoy at least one day a week, in the early hours, before the sun, and the heat set:

  • I have been able to do mundane things, and others not so much.
  • I have been able to swim in the sea, which is my greatest joy!
  • I have had quality of life in months that are generally dead for me.

Yes, I have had to take the same precautions to avoid decompensation, but my health has been more stable, which is something to celebrate.

February, being the shortest month of the year, has seemed eternal to me (but that is another story). Fortunately, everything has an end, so with hope, I wait for March to arrive for my return to the sun.

Summer is almost over, or at least in my mind, there is nothing left. Cloudy days are becoming more common, and the air is becoming increasingly cooler.
