A dark financial shadow: Cryptocurrency will cause the next recession
Cryptocurrency will cause the next major global recession.
One of the younger generation’s favorite sayings that I really like and enjoy is the phrase “keeping the receipts.” It does not merit much explanation other than to say that in a world overflowing with posts, tweets, and media, it certainly makes sense that as people make predictions, that message can act as a “receipt.”
So this is my “receipt”. I believe that cryptocurrency and its ultimate loss in value (between 30–70%) will cause the next major global recession. And it’s going to be a doozy.
(except they may help increase mortality rates). They decrease credit access, less access to healthcare, and increase stress. They put people into hardships they might not otherwise experience.
The way we view cryptocurrency as “stable” even though it is anything “but” will wreak havoc on global financial systems.
It is hard to track and to know how much of a “financial shadow” cryptocurrency is leaving on our economies.
