I Really Want to See These 5 Amazing ‘Green’ Alternatives to Plastic Packaging!
Who else is sick and tired of the plastic menace?
Last week I ordered a box of one of the healthiest juices we have available on Amazon in my country. It is a brand called Raw Pressery. The juice is as pure as it can get— cold pressed, no added preservatives, no added sugar or water. But, alas — the bottle! Albeit BPA free, Food Grade and Recyclable, it was still— Plastic.
If a brand that is all about the purest form of juice is unable to fight the plastic menace, then what to even expect of the lesser ‘conscious’ brands?
I do not hold it against this brand, though, because:
They are taking responsibility to recycle the plastic — they offer to buy back the plastic bottles from consumers and get them converted into yarn which finally turns into t-shirts. Fair enough.
But I simply cannot get my mind off the big plastic menace.
Why are non-plastic packaging materials still not mainstream?
Is it the government’s fault?
Or is the onus on us, the consumers, who are not concerned ‘enough’ to take a strong stand against plastic?
