Short Story: Tears of the Dragon - The Transformation of Mistraline
BANG BANG BANG…
Three loud, heavy pounds echoed from the front door, signaling a threat!
Or at the very least, something very strange —
an unexpected visitor.
Fear bolted through Psywren’s body, zapping up her spine.
“Ughhhhh, not again!” huffing about shaking off the energy.
Psywren appeared from out of nowhere. Jumping into nervous action, she peered through the peephole.
It was clear this stranger was a mere messenger, designated to Mother Gaia herself, obvious by their uniform.
“Definitely nothing to be worried about Ren! Probably just another update for the collective.”
She brushed herself off opening the door with a friendly smile.
A conch shell horn tooted loudly as the messenger proclaimed, “Attention, attention! Psywren Mistraline is now called upon by Mother Gaia to present herself immediately. Details upon arrival.”
The scroll rolled up and a small creature popped onto the messenger’s shoulder, shouting, “Posthaste! Now! ASAP!” Then the messenger vanished in a poof.
