Health and Wellness Cheat Code: Embracing Ayurveda
It’s ancient wisdom, not a secret
I first learned about Ayurveda from Sahara Rose after I dove deep into my health after my father’s heart attack.
I fell down the “What the Health” documentary rabbit hole and went vegan out of fear. I stayed vegan for years because I followed Ayurveda while eating a whole food plant-based diet to the best of my abilities.
I don’t label my diet anymore but this is still my preferred way to eat because it helps me feel my best physically, mentally, and emotionally.
A Whole Food Plant-Based (WFPB) diet focuses on eating mostly or entirely plant-based foods in their natural, unprocessed form. This means consuming a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes (beans, lentils), nuts, and seeds while minimizing or avoiding animal products (meat, dairy, eggs) and processed foods (refined sugars, oils, and artificial ingredients). The goal is to nourish the body with nutrient-rich, whole foods that promote overall health, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, and support a sustainable lifestyle.
