The Beginning
When I met Daniel, I was a size 10, full of energy and optimism. We met at a mutual friend’s wedding, where he complimented my laugh before asking for my number. He loved that I was confident, ambitious, and always up for an adventure.
For the first few years, our relationship was passionate. We cooked together, traveled, had movie marathons in our pajamas. Life was easy, or at least, it felt that way. He encouraged me in my career, and I supported his long hours and late nights.
But somewhere along the line, life started to shift. I took a demanding job, and the stress piled up. I stopped working out regularly. Late-night dinners turned into takeout. And then came the emotional eating — a response to the loneliness I didn’t want to admit I was feeling.
