Confidence Doesn’t Exist
Your authenticity does!
So, I’m a tad bit chronically online at the moment. (We all are..right?)
Over the last couple weeks I’ve been seeing video after video of Doja Cat performing on tour. And like most of us, I’ve found myself utterly mesmerized.
The way she carries herself as a performer is captivating. How she demands attention, takes up space and owns her body, her aura, her sensuality, her outfits...all of it is so damn good!
I’m not one to ogle over celebrities, in fact I’m quite opposite leaning. Humans are humans! Talented artists are humans! Let’s consume and appreciate their art but realize that there is as much if not more authentic creativity inside all of us. Instead of putting them on a pedestal, let’s get curious about where that magnetism lives in ourselves.
And it’s not just performers that have this aura (although many of them do). Writers! Philosophers! Artists! Your neighbour down the street! Some people just exude this mystical magnetism that draws people in.
But again, humans are humans are humans. There is no fundamental difference between Doja Cat and yourself. There isn’t something she has that you don’t. Doja Cat is one person who has given herself permission to exist how she wants to exist.
