Some are bored, scrolling on a tablet screen

Others are desperate for a breathing machine

This is the world we live in, fickle

Slick with timing,

As a green light in the sight

Of those who are dreaming

Nobody knows what’s really happening

They want people to get a vaccine

And I get it,

But then I don’t…

Nobody knows if it’s safe to plug it in

Or if it’s just some sort of drug marketing

Nobody knows pretty much anything

We’re just rolling,

Trolling,

Moaning,

Hoping we’ll still be the same old thing

And yet,

A change of heart, a change of mind

Is all it’s taking

To rise above the vice we’re bearing

Both on the surface and deep within.
