8 Basic Pieces of Advice that will Increase Your Chances of Success When Building a YouTube Channel

Upload frequency: People will tell you that upload frequency doesn’t matter; however, it does impact a channel’s ability to grow a core audience, which is one of the most important factors early in a channel’s career. My typical advice is to not leave more than a week between uploads. Upload quantity: If you don’t upload enough, you’re less likely to be discovered by people, as there are fewer videos for the algorithm to choose from when trying to suggest you to an audience. Blaming the algorithm: If you’re not growing, don’t blame the algorithm, and don’t blame yourself — blame both. You still have a lot to learn about how audiences consume content, and the algorithm doesn’t always know which audience will enjoy your content. SEO Advice: Many strategists will push the SEO narrative down your throat, but in reality, it has a very limited impact on your growth. Figure out what people are interested in and create titles that reflect that interest. CTR & AVD: Your AVD and CTR metrics will constantly fluctuate and won’t always accurately represent how well your video is performing. Your CTR might be lower than usual because YouTube believed a wider audience would be interested in your content…
