MY MONTH

Halfway through this month I waved goodbye to my oldest daughter as she returned to her life in LA. I won’t lie — it was hard. I cried. It wasn’t the first time she left home and she is no longer a little girl, but do they ever stop being our little girls?

I cherished having her with me over the Sydney summer — seeing her every morning and sharing Xmas with both of my daughters for the first time in a long time. It was a gift. I loved every minute and will be forever grateful. Having your grown-up daughter live with you again, even for a short time, is something rare and special.
