Haven’t we heard such clichéd statements almost every day? Page 3 of newspapers, style magazines, relationship columns — all screaming about who you should date, marry, or even work under. Whether we realize it or not, we navigate life wearing a hodgepodge of sticky labels, some self-imposed and others thrust upon us. These labels shape our experiences in powerful — though not always helpful — ways.
The Myth of Sorting People into Archetypes
The practice of categorizing people based on archetypes has existed for centuries. Psychological frameworks, such as Carl Jung’s theories, sought to understand behavioral patterns and remain significant in modern psychology. In contrast, astrology, when studied rigorously under qualified practitioners, attempts to predict human traits based on planetary positions at birth.
