What Do You Think When You Hear iPad and iPhone?
Simple explanation to help understand Product Positioning
Today, let’s get into what product positioning really means — and I’m bringing Apple in to help explain.
So, yesterday, I gave a quick and asked you to look at two Apple products — iPhone and iPad — and think about how the same brand positions these products differently in our minds.
Let’s go deeper into that.
First up: the iPhone.
Over the last few years, every iPhone launch has been super specific about what’s new and improved, whether it’s the camera, the materials, or some crazy tech they’re bringing in.
Like last year, with the iPhone 15, they introduced satellite communication for emergencies.
Imagine being totally off the grid, no regular network, and yet, you can still call for help.
That’s a pretty unique feature!
Then, looking at the iPhone 16, they’re teasing something they’re calling Apple Intelligence — a built-in AI that’s coming in December.
So now, iPhone isn’t just a phone; it’s a tool for emergencies and,
soon, a little AI companion in your pocket.
