A New Pen Name is Chosen and Live

Which one did I choose?

A couple of months ago, I posted telling my Medium friends that I was considering adding a new pen name as a fiction writer. I listed three choices and asked for opinions on which would be the best. Overall, the comments were positive and overwhelmingly, most people chose one pen name over the other.

After careful consideration and many, many conversations with the “hubby,” I settled on Raven Burke over Rowena Burke. There aren’t elaborate reasons behind the choice. I want to concentrate, mainly, on YA/N/A horror, thriller, and fantasy niches, and Raven Burke just seems to scream that to me.

Also, ravens are my overall favorite bird, so why not? Ravens just give me spooky vibes that urge me to settle into a corner with a mug of peppermint tea and write the day away. I love to create worlds full of creatures, murder, mayhem, and things that go bump in the night. Thank you, Stephen King?

Not only have I taken on a new pen name, I have been signed by Storm’s Publishing as their newest author. I am positive that this is the beginning of a great partnership and can’t wait to submit my first book! While the release date is still tentative, it will be in early spring, 2025 and I can’t wait!

Thank you to all of my Medium friends who voted for the new pen name! I appreciate you all!

What do you think of the new logo? If you’d like to follow my journey as I write the first book under this pen name, let me know in the comments, and I’ll be happy to keep you updated on my progress.

Again, thanks so much, and much love!
