Challenge Failed But Writing Goes On

Keep showing up even when you fail

It’s not even mid-May and I’ve already failed at the daily writing challenge over at Never Stop Writing.

I’ve been sick, but should that count?

I mean, I’ve written my best poem ever during two days of hovering over the 39°C/103°F-mark. At least it felt that way when I recorded it on snippets of audio…

Anyone reading this who managed a 30-day posting streak? What’s your secret?

Two years into blogging on Medium, my failed attempt at a daily post for a full month gives me more insight than I thought.

I’m now convinced that it’s the key to more visibility (and potentially earnings) on the platform.

“Quality is not an act, it is a habit.” ― Aristotle

With this in mind, I’ll keep showing up despite pockets of a few missed days.

Because it’s getting back to good habits after a break that counts.

Don’t let small setbacks deter you from your writing dream. Act on it today ❤
