I am a collector of small things!

My creed, my religion, my practice, my hobby, my love, my life.

I am NOT a hoarder. You can still get around the condo easily without having to turn sideways to shuffle through piles of newspapers or magazines! The condo and collections are clean, orderly, and in their own chaotic way, tranquil. On spending any time in the condo, you are overwhelmed by the possibilities but also spiritually calm!

For a long time now I have embraced, written about, and lived MAXIMALISM. Because so many of my collections are of small things (not necessarily miniatures) I call it Minimal Maximalism! First, there was Michael’s “Museum: A Curious Collection of Tiny Treasures”, a permanent exhibit of 105 collections at Chicago Children’s Museum since 2011.

The collecting continued, and continues yet, at “Michael’s Museum: The Condo Campus Collections at Evanston, Illinois.” In the condo, there are 50+ Surface Collections, 100+ Framed Photographs…
