Boosted or Not Boosted, That Is The Question
A retelling of a personal experience on Medium
To give a bit of background into the reason I joined Medium, it was because of another author. They thought I’d find this platform more rewarding.
They were not wrong. I have enjoyed every single moment, even with these interactions. My reason for writing this article is my desire to share my experience of a strange interaction and whether I received a nomination for a boost.
I have always been diligent in documenting my entire journey on Medium. So when I learn important information like How Medium Membership Work, or Mediums Most Underused Benefits, I have documented the information provided and how I have physically tested the information to validate it.
It’s also a habit of my neurospicy brain to fact-check a lot of the information given to me. After all, Medium is a platform that boosts opinions and personal stories.
So getting back to the most recent experience I had was with a publication owner. I had published an article through their publication and later edited it to include a friend link that was provided to me by a Friend of Medium (FoM).
