Can We Please Stop Shaming The 9–5 Grind?

Yeah, I get it. Entrepreneurship is the way to go. We should all quit our day jobs and make thousands of dollars a month from our iPhones. There are so many ways to get rich on the internet. We all want time and location freedom, and we can’t do that earning a salary working to build someone else’s empire.
It’s hard not to compare your life to everyone that you see living big online. From the outside looking in, it seems like every one is living a life of luxury and freedom with no supervisor to answer to. Every other YouTube ad is somebody selling you a course on how to make 6 figures in half an hour.
Every body has fired their boss and is now making more money than they could have ever imagined. Yes, people absolutely do change their lives by choosing the entrepreneurship route, but do not be fooled by snake oil salesman urging you to quit your job when you have bills and other responsibilities to tend to.
What? You don’t have an online business? You must be a loser. Only losers have day jobs.
We see this type of rhetoric all day every day on these internet streets. To be transparent, I have not worked a regular job in almost four years. I honestly can’t even tell you how I’ve been…
