Slow Grooving
Here we are, another day my beautiful souls
I don’t know about you, but with all this pandemic craziness, I’m looking forward to the upcoming year, and I can only have faith that next year brings with it a sense of ‘ordinary.’
While 2020 was a year that our modern world was unfamiliar with navigating, there have been a few pockets of memorable; including the subtle, constant reminders that life’s little moments — the mundane, the pedestrian and the commonplace — are meant to be savoured.
Life in general has a tendency to move at warp speed, and learning to find a frequency at which you can groove is a never-ending, and complex challenge. Earlier this year when the world came to a grinding halt, we were all forced to examine how we were living and learn to find our groove on a dance floor where we couldn’t feel the beat.
I’ll be honest, while I am blessed to have a job and career that has kept me employed throughout all this mayhem and upheaval — thank you healthcare, you keep on ticking — there were times that I was jealous. I know, sorry.
