Ten Songs For Your Late Summer Rotation
It’s Virgo season and it’s time to get busy
Welcome to Virgo season, which from my rusty knowledge of astrology, symbolizes a time for grounding oneself and accepting transition. Late summer morphs into early fall and we begin to see the changes around us as much as we do in ourselves. We’re growing, seeking out new experiences and feelings, and not shaming ourselves for doing so. I say this as wishful thinking as much as I say this as manifestation. According to our ever present and trustworthy friend, Google, Virgo season is characterized by intentionality and clarity; moving past the intensity of Leo season, Virgo season is a time to reflect and bring ourselves to a more centered place — after all, we’re entering Earth sign territory. And as such — as in, because we are in this transitional period in multiple senses of the word — I have compiled a late summer playlist in order to jumpstart this reflective process and remind us all that transitions are scary but that this uncomfortability doesn’t mean we’re failing and/or aimless. It just means we’re growing. I need that reminder too.
