Joyous Road gives us a way to share thoughts and observations about everyday life, the changing landscape of culture and education, and the emotional range of memory and possibility — at times heartfelt, at times humorous, but ultimately joyful. Please walk along with me on the Joyous Road!
Join me as I take another step on my writing journey. I write because I need to — it is how I share my life, work through problems, and release my creativity. Writing is a way to connect with others, build community, and retain our humanity. If this resonates with you, come along!
A bit about me: for 30 years I have taught in rural Texas; for over twice that time I have made my way through the highs and lows of life. I’ve learned a few things along the way as a woman, teacher, and partner, but I am still a hungry student. Peace waits at the end of the road, but joy beckons as we go.
I wrote a bit for the public in the early 2000’s; now I am again sharing my writing with others. The many available platforms make this easier than ever. I have some writing on a blog on WordPress (see link below), and this is the site of my newsletter on Substack: Please consider subscribing!
