
Dr. Jose Feneque is a small animal veterinarian with more than 25 years of experience in veterinary medicine and the pet-related industry. He is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. He is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the states of Georgia and Florida and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
His special interests include veterinary pediatrics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and the medical applications of nanotechnology in the veterinary field. He graduated in 1991 from The University Of Puerto Rico (Mayaguez Campus) with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Industry. In 1996, he obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
After graduation, he worked for approximately eight years as a veterinary associate at a small animal hospital in Miami, Florida. He was a member of the Science Advisory Board for the Nanotechnology Development Corporation from 2004 to 2006. From 2007 to 2017, Dr. Feneque was co-owner and Medical Director of the Veterinary Medical Center of Clayton in Forest Park, Georgia. Besides his duties as owner and veterinarian of the Veterinary Medical Center of Clayton, he was in charge of the hospital’s social media content creation and promotion. He currently provides services as a relief veterinarian for several animal hospitals in the area of Atlanta and two vaccine companies. Dr. Feneque is also an avid content creator for YouTube, where he manages a project known as the Veterinary Channel.
