How we’ll live in the 2060’s

As all who aren’t lost in the fantasy of denial being shoved down our metaphorical throats, by the media and others, with a vested interest in keeping the ongoing collapse quiet, know we won’t be living as we are for much longer.

There’s quite a bit of debate going on, about whether the collapse will be quick or slow. I think we’re in the slow part now. We can’t know how long that will take, the gradually worsening situation, for those of us, the vast majority, who have no McMansion, or Tesla, or private jet.

It’s pretty bad already, especially for those who don’t live in the richer parts of the world. Those who do live in the “1st world”, are finding it harder and harder to cope too, although real hunger hasn’t reached here yet, despite food banks and increasing insecurity. At worst, there’re always the bins behind supermarkets, if they haven’t sprayed the food with bleach or otherwise made it inedible, just to force people through the door to spend their money.

All that is about to change.

It’s becoming clear that the first major blow to the current order of things will come from the climate. Likely starting this year, 2024. Agriculture, all over the world, in many of the most important areas for growing food, is being hit hard by the heating we’ve seen just so far. I’m seeing 25% reductions in soy production here…
