(Addendum to) Part C: What is Rum? (3/3)
Sometimes, we put our foot in our mouth and misspeak, and that’s okay
As I noted in my write-up of Yuval Noah Harari’s , humans are fallible. We will garble, misstep, and not get it right sometimes. It’s inescapable.
As such, this is a follow-up to the Part C — Technical piece of my What is Rum series…
…and my first paid-only release. Because only real ones will care about the nerdy corrections that follow from here. Enjoy and much respect.
“First of all, remember, it’s not rum, it’s Charanda.”
Miriam Paola Pacheco, the General Manager of and daughter of the 107-year-old family legacy, said the above (in quotes) verbatim at about 1:10:53–1:10:57.
You know what I said in my Part C article?
I’m going to hammer this ‘rum and governing rules’ point home. Charanda, a Mexican rum, has incredibly strict guidelines.
