Why So Serious?
There is nothing complicated about having fun.
“Ahla Peanut Butter Sandwiches!” -The Count from Sesame Street
I woke up with that replaying in my mind over and over. When I was cleaning out the van in the driveway, I mimicked the Transylvanian accent when I was done.
After I watered the garden and picked a dozen cucumbers off of the vine, the same thing.
“Ahla Peanut Butter Sandwiches.”
Lunch with a friend, I said those words when the waitress placed my order in front of me. Both she and my friend gave me the look. You know the kind.
Is he strokin, or smokin? The left side of my face wasn’t sagging.
I must’ve caught her off guard because she left without asking if we needed anything else. My friend just smirked because he either understood my crazy or was just used to it.
I do that sometimes. I say random things to people. Sometimes to strangers. For example just the other day the reply I gave most people was a single word.
“How are you today?”
“Marginal.”
“What did you think of the Harris presidential announcement?”
“Marginal.”
“How was dinner?”
