First I’ll tell you a few things before you get started with writing.
- Writing is just another form of communication.
- You write to communicate. Communication can have many forms and purposes.
- For example, you may write to let your heart out or to tell yourself something. Maybe, you write to persuade someone to agree with your arguments or explain any book, concept, or event. Or to give a new perspective on anything.
Writing always has a purpose. You may not have identified it earlier. But there has to be one.
Ask yourself, “Why do I want to write?”
To be a better writer?
Or
to have a new skill?
Either way, you will have clarity about how should you practice it. Later, it’ll be easier to identify your level.
When I started writing, I was unclear. I just wanted to write but never knew why. As I kept practicing, I realized that I had a few reasons to write:
- It felt I’m helping people with my words either by explaining what I know or by writing poetries. Because my friends used to love my poetries.
