Bandwagon
A poem
I want to fall off the bandwagon.
I want to experience something new.
I want to go to the mountains and paint a picture of a moose.
I want to say I worked at a coffee shop that closed promptly at 6.
I want to change my major a couple of times.
Have those around me a little concerned.
I wanna go to the Eiffel Tower and eat croissants next to a mime.
I want to go to my local thrift store and buy whatever I immediately find.
I want spontaneity and something to look back on.
I want my greys to have been earned and not just developed behind a white board.
I want to see people reach their goals.
I want to give someone a home.
I know you need a firm foundation, but it rains too much for that where I come from.
I want crossless T’s and undotted I’s.
Just for a little while
I want to fall off the bandwagon.
