A Letter to You

A not-so-rhythmic poem.

You showed me I was pretty without lipstick.

You made me feel comfortable playing with instruments in a park.

You helped me learn my love language is touch.

Even after he made it unbearable.

You taught me it is okay to ramble.

You made me feel better about being alone.
You set a spark inside of me that I hope never dies.

For all of this, I thank you.

You will always have a piece of me.
