Ode to Medium — Grateful for All the New Life Lessons
My final meta post with unexpected growth along the way
Dear Medium,
Well, this is weird. I didn’t think I’d be writing another meta post because I stopped publishing those a while back. But here we are. I figured I’d get one last article in before everything changes in March. I’ve written quite a few of these in the past, and really enjoyed doing so.
I’ve been one of those writers who didn’t focus on navel-gazing, how-to hacks, or making money on Medium. I even found ways to blend research into some of them.
But like everything, platforms evolve.
Lately, there’s been a lot of angst, frustration, and general doomsday posting. I’m here to write about some gratitude today. Shoutout to , and the whole team for keeping the platform going. It’s given so many of us a space to throw words into the wind and see how far they’ll go.
Over the past two years, you’ve been a lot of things to me, Medium — exciting, thought-provoking, unpredictable. But mostly, you’ve been a place where I figured out how to be a better writer.
