My Favorite Song

For this writing prompt, my favorite song is, Sometimes, by The Carpenters, recorded in 1971 on the Carpenters album.

I chose this song because it’s simple and reminds me of what matters. It begins:

“Sometimes, not often enough

We reflect upon the good things

And those thoughts always center around those we love”

And ends:

“And I count the times I have forgotten to say thank you

And just how much I love them.”

I listen to this song often, so I never forget to tell those I love what they mean to me before it’s too late.
