The Twin Towers in New York City fell on September 11, 2001, during a time of personal crisis in my life. My marriage to my twin flame, the father of my youngest child, imploded. I lost my job as a Registered Nurse — then blackballed from medicine in the county where I live, as a potential whistle-blower. All I remember is watching the attack on television repeatedly for weeks.
The only way the tragedy affected me was when I needed a copy of my birth certificate in Pennsylvania. I had to supply a certified copy of my ID with the same address where I wanted the certificate mailed. It took me years to get that, and over six months to receive it by mail.
