Saturn Is Making Me Allergic to People That Complain
I open up the neighbours’ group chat on my phone to catch up on the messages I missed.
The majority are a series of complaints. Some about the lack of hot water, others about the dirty elevator and the high tax bill. Besides the entertainment value, I don’t find anything groundbreaking.
After drinking my morning coffee, I go to work and sit in my first meeting of the day. We start off by sharing how we’re doing.
One is tired. The other is stressed. The third is going through a personal crisis. Either I’m insensitive or overly optimistic, because I just do not understand why everyone is complaining.
I too used to complain quite a bit. Just last year, I remember sitting down with my friends and explaining that we are all just modern day slaves. Talking about how expensive everything is and how much my apartement sucks.
And while back then I was going through the much necessary (depressive) side of a Saturn return, I came out on the other side. This other side is the side of the Saturn return that starts to positively shape our lives.
The first thing that Saturn helped me realize was that nothing is ever handed out. Nobody is looking out for me. Nothing is free. Not even love.
