From all of the marriage stats out there, I curated those to what I found most surprising. I also added my own commentary in italics.

’s article on The Live Apart Together Revolution is Coming featured a link to a that contains a bonanza of interesting stats that provided the inspiration and data for this article.

So here’s what surprised me about the 2024 numbers for the USA:

• Religiously unaffiliated divorce rates are lower than Christian divorce rates. (37% of the unaffiliated population is married, while 11% are divorced). Do what I say, not what I do.
• Having more kids doesn’t increase divorce; the rates go down for those with 3 or more. They are too busy going crazy. Plus, I can’t do it without you!
