The Bible makes it clear that God will never tempt us. But the fact of the matter is, He sure as heck will test us! So how do you know if God is testing you, or if during tribulation, you are being tempted by the Devil? One thing for certain; two things for sure: tests, trials, and temptations will come (1 Peter 4:12). But having the ability to discern amongst them can mean the difference between success, prosperity, and life or death, destruction and defeat.

1. Are you being drawn towards Godly wisdom or your sinful desires?

“No one undergoing a trial should say, “I am being tempted by God,” since God is not tempted by evil, and He himself doesn’t tempt anyone. But each person is tempted when he is drawn away and enticed by his own evil desire. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death.” — James 1:13–15 CSB
