As I grieved the untimely loss of a close friend, my mind was filled with vivid flashes of our time together. Those carefree college days, adventurous hiking trips, and indulging in a bunch of youthful mischief. Alas, the person in those memories was gone.

Now, his lifeless body lay before me, a stark reminder of how quickly life can come to an end. It felt strange. One moment, we are here, living, laughing, making plans. The next, we are gone. But isn’t that how life unfolds? People are born and then die. Some sooner than others.

We get caught up in the rush of life chasing careers, falling in love, facing heartbreaks, celebrating joys, and enduring struggles. Yet, in the midst of it all, we often forget to truly appreciate life. We take it for granted, complaining about trivial matters until something shakes us to our core, brutally reminding us that our time is not infinite.

As I reflected on death, I realized that life is much like a movie. It has a beginning, a middle, and an inevitable end. Along the way, we experience action, adventure, heartbreak, laughter, pain, and an entire spectrum of emotions. And one day, the show ends.

This might sound like a pessimistic view, but it’s not. It’s a reality check. While we don’t control when our movie ends, we have complete power over how we play our role in it. This awareness is not meant to create fear. it’s meant to inspire. It urges us to live with intention, to cherish the people around us, and to make our time on this stage meaningful.

As I play my role in this movie, I want to be remembered for the character I brought to life. Long after I exit the plot, I hope my story lingers in the hearts of those who watched it, a testament to a life well lived.
