DREAM LOG — Chokehold, Norma, Cleaning Guy, Hell

I log my dreams. This is from November 19, 2024. I draw some parallels from the dream to my present reality. I use code words to mask the identities of people I know in real life.

In the first dream segment, I felt to be in a house where people may have been mad at me. Or felt they could talk to me however they wanted. I felt I had slept inside this house several times. I have a recall of a lot of yelling. I feel like I remember this guy from work who has the same name as me present in the dream. He was yelling a lot. I remember taking a nap in bed with a young man from the kitchen, platonically, and an alarm going off. I emphasize platonically because he may be in his early 20s and that feels just a bit unethical to me. This dream also seems as if it could be processing the two years I just spent at my family home where I was demeaned and belittled nearly every day. Some days I evaded interaction all together, and these were the best days.

Coincidentally, the guy I recall to have been present and yelling in the dream that has the same name as I was recently let go, or he quit. I live close to my place of work. He may have tried to return yesterday to reestablish employment. It must not have succeeded. I saw him walking down my street on the phone, yelling. That night, he made an appearance in my dream.

While I was in this yelling house, I remember Chokehold, my ex, showing up. In a more confrontational manner, he asked what I was doing there. He started following me around and…
