It’s incredible what you expect me to settle for
An imagination with you
Satan
I will not idolize you
I will not settle for you
You live in us all
And thus I cannot have you
But I love you
The victimized
And I will stand up for you
Because by speaking for you
I speak for myself

Wrong this world has done to you
Damned you, they have
Along the simple word of a spirit
that is not here
Experiencing life as you
And me
It is you who lives with empathy
With shared experience of this suffering place
And yet this place found birth
in your condemnation
They’ve made you the target of their blame
And they cannot see
God made you, in selfish vain
So that all us, who are you
Would have a central place
to project our pain

It is not your fault Satan
You are but a shadow side of god
And by not claiming you
Or respecting you
God disrespects themselves
To the extent that god is even anything
