The Unbroken Spirit: Navigating the Storms of Courage
A poem about courage
Courage, we tend to find in the smallest of things we as human beings to take for granted.
The very first step your child takes, that is Courage.
The very first time you talk to a beautiful woman, that is Courage.
The very first friend in which you dare to fully trust, that is Courage.
The very first time you have to give up on something or someone, that is Courage.
It is very true that the meaning of Courage takes different forms and different shapes according to which period of human existence you live in.
The ancient gladiators had courage, every time they fought for their very lives.
The Ancient Spartans had Courage, when they faced the Persians with only 300 warriors
The Ancient Spartans had Courage, when they faced the Persians with only 300 warriors
You see, old friend.
Courage isn’t constant; it is everchanging and so are we as human beings.
Which essentially means: being a human takes great Courage, because we may very well flourish in life, but we are always ready to face the moment in which we shall perish at once.
What greater Courage is there than that, I ask of you?
