How to Overcome the Fear of Writing Online
What if someone I know reads my stuff?
I was scared.
Scared of what people would think of me. Scared of my writing being rejected.
It took me a long time before I got the courage to write. I learned to lean into the fear and write away.
Fear took over me
What if someone I know reads my writing? What they’ll say about me? They’ll probably laugh over my vulnerability and openness.
They’ll comment on how they found my writing. People might tell me that my writing was good, but they might not have meant it. But if they tell me my writing is bad, my god, that’ll be horrible.
Why should I even care?
But I thought about the people I admire. They create things. They forge their own path in life and make the most of it.
I thought about why I should even care about what others might think about my writing. Why should I quit on something I love just because I was made fun of?

We don’t have to be great in the beginning. We just need to try. We need to put in the effort, as long as we do that we won.
